A new report by CBRE has found a 17% increase in Australian office buildings rated 5 stars or above by the NABERS program since 2017. The report also found that buildings in Melbourne with a 5.5 star rating or above had a 6% occupancy advantage over competitors, while Perth’s high achieving buildings were benefit to a rent premium as tenants seek out more sustainable properties in response to pressures from employees and stakeholders to improve environmental performance.
