Fulfil your CBD Compliance Obligations

CBD (Commercial Building Disclosure) logo

The CBD (Commercial Building Disclosure) Program came into full effect on the 1st of November 2011 and requires most sellers, lessors or sub-lessors of office spaces greater than 1000m2 to disclose a valid and current Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) before selling or leasing their building on the market. This is necessary to comply with current Australian Government regulations before marketing the building.

What is a BEEC?

NABERS Rating

A current NABERS Energy Rating based on energy audits of the past 12 months.

CBD Tenancy Lighting Assessment

A CBD TLA establishes the Nominal Lighting Power Density (NLPD) of relevant functioning spaces in a building. This certification is valid for 5 years.

General energy efficiency guidance

By establishing a performance-based benchmark, we’ll help you get on track with meeting your sustainability goals.

Stay Current

Windfarm

Keep your building compliant with a current BEEC.

Acquiring a BEEC is the first step in accessing and understanding meaningful information about a building’s performance.

Improving building energy efficiency is one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help mitigate climate change. A NettZero conducted BEEC will ensure your building or tenancy is compliant with the Commercial Building Disclosure Program.

NettZero submits hundreds of BEEC applications every year, more than most organisations in Australia.

The CBD program promotes transparency and provides valuable information to potential tenants and buyers about the energy efficiency and environmental performance of a building.

By requiring building owners to disclose the NABERS Energy rating and other relevant data, the program enables informed decision-making.

This not only helps tenants and buyers choose buildings that align with their sustainability goals but also encourages building owners to invest in energy-efficient measures, thus driving market transformation towards more sustainable buildings.
